How to send .syx to your DX9

  1. Connect your DX9's MIDI IN to your computer's MIDI interface
  2. On the DX9, press FUNCTION → set MIDI channel to match your interface
  3. Use a SysEx tool to send the file:
    • Mac: SysEx Librarian (free) → drag .syx → Send
    • Windows: MIDI-OX → Options → SysEx → Send SysEx File
    • DAW: Most DAWs can send SysEx via a MIDI track or script
    • Linux: amidi -p hw:0 -s patch.syx
  4. The patch loads into voice memory slot 1 on the DX9
  5. Fine-tune using the DX9's front panel after receiving
